Innovative Update

Rennovation

This single story home was one of the very first home built in Jersey Village, Texas in the 1960s. It has undergone a innovative renovation, embracing its mid-century modern roots. The exterior has been updated with a large plate glass window repurposed from a commercial storefront, featuring double insulated glass. The original garage door has been replaced with a groovy aluminum version. All trim and gutters now feature heavy gauge commercial stainless steel.

Open Space

Modern Design

Upon entering the home, the foyer boasts an open and light-filled space, achieved by removing a wall separating it from the living room and replacing the outdated Mexican tile and Japanese wallpaper with a clean design. The atrium retains its original skylight, but the dining room now features two columns where a wall once stood, creating a grand and open entrance. The old white Berber carpet and floor-to-ceiling mirrored wall were removed and all new wooden floors added.

Drawing in Light

Clean lines draw the eye through the home from the foyer to the bak porch.

Custom Ash Cabinets

The Kitchen

The kitchen has been completely redesigned with new custom bookmatched ash cabinetry. Clean-lined, brushed steel appliances contrast nicely. The renovation included all of the tile and granite countertops designed be understated and bring the look together.
